Going out clubbing at night can be a fun activity. However, for many women, it can also be a dangerous one. There are a lot of terrible guys out there, who prey on women in nightclubs. You should take certain steps and follow a few safety guidelines if you want to avoid getting preyed on by these men. These safety guidelines are essential, especially if you are going out by yourself at night.

Do Not Accept Drinks From Strangers

While it may seem flattering to get handed a free drink by a stranger, you should be wary of these kinds of offers. In fact, you should flat out refuse to drink something if you have no idea who it is from. The drink could be spiked with some drug that could make you sick or pass out. Lacing a drink with some drug is a very common tactic that men employ to catch certain women off-guard.

Try To Order Your Drink Yourself

In order to ensure that your drink is totally safe to drink, you should try to order the drink yourself. If you are with someone or with a group of people, and they offer to order your drink for you, you should decline. If you do not know that person, then be wary of the drinks they offer you. Between your drink being made and them bringing it you, you may never know what could happen. They could put something in your drink, as it is being brought to you.

Watch Your Drink Being Made

When you order a drink, you should also watch how it is being made. You never know if the bartender could slip something into your drink, or if someone puts something in your drink as it is being made. So to be totally safe, you should watch your drink being made right in front of you.

Avoid Drinking From A Punch Bowl

Do not drink from a punch bowl especially if you are at a stranger’s party. The drink inside of a punchbowl could easily be laced with some drug. So to be totally safe, avoid drinking from some kind of communal drinking spot.

Pay Close Attention To How You Are Feeling

If you do end up inadvertently drinking a spiked drink, you should also pay close attention to how your body feels. If you have been drinking a lot during the course of the night, it is only natural to feel tipsy and lightheaded. However, if you feel like vomiting, fainting, or just generally sick, you should be very careful and contact someone or leave the club, you could have been drugged.

These are just some safety tips that every lady should be aware of. If you are going out for the night, then be sure always to be aware of your surroundings. And pay close attention to what is going on around you. If you want to avoid getting hurt or being assaulted, then you will have to follow these safety guidelines. You could end up preventing any bad incident happening to you. Another good idea to try out is to bring some mace or some other kind of personal protection. Having these kinds of items, such as a pepper spray, could keep you safe.
